Your home should be the place you admire, like and enjoy the most. Considering that’s the place where you go to bed and wake up in the morning, it should be cozy and beautiful, to say the least. The interior design plays a big role in how aesthetically pleasing a house looks inside, and so do proper decorations. Proper décor can make or break the appearance of your home.

Get Photography Posters

By decorating your walls with photography posters you get the chance to completely customize them and make them represent your style, vision and preferences. There’s an endless choice when it comes to poster photography. You can fill your house with incredible sunsets, mind-blowing architecture, abstracts, beach landscapes, classic black and white posters, flora and fauna or highlight some minimalistic posters.

Poster photography is part of the latest trends when it comes to home décor and taking an empty wall and transforming it into a gallery-worthy masterpiece. Every photography poster speaks for itself, represents a specific moment in time and matches a different genre or style. You’re at liberty to mix and match yours until you find the right combination of colours, lines and shapes.

Why go for poster photography? Well, photography posters are printed following the highest standards on a white, smooth and mate acid-free art paper. The print itself is protected with shatterproof acrylic. You can freely pick the frame you like and the size you think will be suitable. And all of this comes at a ridiculously reasonable price. You get real art, vivid colours, incredible design but your budget doesn’t feel it.

Now, before you go on a poster shopping spree, you need to take into consideration the space you’re going to fill with amazing artwork. After all, the ambience will be ten times better if you stay true to your style and your interior design. The posters need to stand out, yes, but in the right way. They need to stand out because they fit and improve the look of your home, not because they look out of place. Make sure the colours of the posters complement the colours that already dominate your house. And pick the size so that it fits the empty space nicely but doesn’t overpower it.

Create a Mirror Mosaic

You can assemble the mirrors the same way you would’ve assembled the wall posters. Apart from being incredibly useful and something no one can live without, mirrors are very decorative. They come in different sizes and shapes and you can choose the frames on your own too. Basically, you can transform a wall into a futuristic art installation or a beautiful mirror mosaic. And considering how reflective mirrors are you can create an illusion of a bigger space by placing them strategically. You have a ton of ways to decorate with mirrors. Mirrors do a great job at reflecting light (and everything else for that matter) and they can make any room brighter and visually larger. Plus, what better way to make a statement than by doing so with a couple of unique mirrors?

Get a Mural Painted

If you want to go big, go for a mural. Although murals are paintings usually applied on a wall in a public space, no one says you can’t do a mural on a wall inside your house. In fact, that would be quite an amazing thing to do. Murals create a whole different vibe. It’s something you can’t physically touch because it’s only paint after all, but it looks insanely real and takes home décor to a whole different level.

There are no limitations when murals are in question. All you need to do is hire a professional artist and decide what is that you want to be painted on your wall. It can be something simple and graphic or a gigantic 3D mural that’ll be a real wow factor. Now, you might need to throw a bit more money into this project, but considering how majestic it’ll turn out to be, feel no remorse.

Install Shelving

Shelves

Shelving might be the simplest solution to your empty walls and the ideal one if you’re into classics. And no, you don’t have to install four rows of basic wooden shelves. You can go as crazy with the design as you desire. Over the years the design of shelving changed a lot (as did everything else) and today you have limitless options.

If you want the wall in question completely covered up from top to bottom, then you can go for custom made shelves from solid wood in diverse geometric shapes. You can fill some of them up with books, pictures, objects and leave the rest intentionally empty.

For a minimalistic feel, you can install floating shelves or add rope to the mix and make them look like they’re hanging. Your shelves can even be built-in if you need to save space. And despite wood, you can use metal as well.

Create a Vertical Garden

Vertical garden indoors

This is only a good idea if you’re prepared to commit to the plants 100%. Otherwise, your vertical garden will dry out and you’ll have only pots to admire. You have a ton of ways to create a vertical garden. The easiest thing to do is cover the entire wall in greenery. There are special planters for that. All you need to do is install them on your empty wall and go on with your life. Caring for and watering such a vertical wall is a breeze.

The second option is to plant in pots. Now, they are a bit trickier to take care of and maintain but you can make your job easy if you choose plants that require little to no care at all like succulents and cacti. With this step, you’ll avoid the vertical garden drying out and you admiring the empty flower pots I mentioned earlier.

Plants are always a good idea when it comes to decor. They brighten up the room, make it lively and at the same time purify the air. People that have plants at home are considered to be less stressed, in a better mood and always having a nice view to gaze at.
